Here’s a summary of some of the new features of SDScribe™ version 4.01 and 4.02. The summary is by no means comprehensive, but it covers some of the things I think are worth your attention, such as:
New Substance data, SDS templates, and SDS examples. These items are importable into existing data files;
New Batch and Part examples;
Browse list search and ease-of-use improvements;
Simplification options for Substance and SDS entry forms, designed for users who are new to the program, or where the task does not require access to all SDScribe™ features;
A more logical arrangement of the Parts entry form;
New columns in the SDS component list and the Batch ingredient list for EPA Safer Choices ingredient ratings, EU Cosmetic (COSING) ratings, and California Proposition 65 (Prop. 65)-listed chemicals;
A “Suggestion report” for which ingredients should be included on the SDS, taking into account concentration thresholds and toxicity types;
California Proposition 65 (Prop. 65) warnings for labels, which follow the recently-revised state formatting guidelines (effective August 30, 2018).
